Reporting

Capability: Reporting
The report module contains substantive implementations for mailing labels and accounts receivable. These paths use the global print option values “f” for file, “p” for printer, and “s” for screen. Mailing-label selection uses customer data and orders results by ZIP code, while the report framework supplies the output lifecycle outside the retained source range. E0002
Backlog reporting and stock-list reporting are represented by menu entries and methods, but the retained implementations explicitly report that those options have not been implemented. The help file also describes backlog and stock-list reporting as currently incomplete. The fleet description that lists all four report types as supported is therefore materially broader than the implementation evidence. E0001 E0002 E0003 E0004
The exact behavior of report creation, row delivery, output completion, and file or printer handling remains uncertain because the report factory and lifecycle implementations are external to the supplied range. Migration warning W0108 indicates that report-to-file behavior may differ from the original application, but the warning alone does not prove runtime failure. E0002
Capability: Reporting
The report interface ID4_Report.java.svn-base declares methods associated with labels, accounts receivable, backlog, stock, and report output. Help entries describe report choices and document mailing labels and accounts-receivable reporting as enabled or available. E0004
Backlog and stock-list reporting require an explicit qualification. Help entries 503 and 504 state that the Backlog and Stock-list options are “currently not implemented.” Consequently, the evidence supports report-menu and help entries, but not successful generation of those two reports. A general claim that all listed reports are available is contradicted by the same source. E0004 E0006
Capability: Reporting
The source inventory identifies mailing-label and accounts-receivable reporting among the working capabilities, while backlog and stock-list reporting are intentionally incomplete. The supplied excerpts do not provide enough report implementation detail to establish all report behavior. E0008
A likely report defect is broken interruption detection. The overall assessment identifies report-interruption detection as unresolved or actionable, but the supplied detailed findings do not specify the exact report routine or condition responsible. It should therefore remain an unresolved issue rather than a confirmed universal report failure. E0008
Harten documentation of the Informix 4GL and Java source repository, from the retained 17 October 2026 export. The exact upstream revision analysed is not established. Source findings do not establish runtime behaviour or equivalence between the implementations.
