Security: Boundary
The application exposes a command-execution path through the bang command, and the source itself warns that the run instruction may be unsafe or erroneous. The evidence establishes the exposed behavior and warning, but does not establish the permissions, isolation, quoting rules, or host boundary applied by the missing application framework. E0001 E0002
The SQL construction concern is similarly bounded. Customer predicates are assembled through a Construct result, but the Construct implementation and escaping rules are unavailable. The appropriate finding is an unresolved security and query-validity hazard rather than a confirmed injection defect. E0002
Harten documentation of the Informix 4GL and Java source repository, from the retained 17 October 2026 export. The exact upstream revision analysed is not established. Source findings do not establish runtime behaviour or equivalence between the implementations.
Evidence identifiers are retained for traceability. The underlying analysis records are not included in this public edition; credential values are redacted. About this case study.
