Hazard: unresolved transaction and report behavior
The visible order-add flow has explicit rollback branches, but the source does not demonstrate rollback after an uncaught exception occurring after transaction start. Because exception throwing is configured off by default and framework error handling is not fully supplied, the effective behavior requires further evidence from the database and framework layers. The report routines may depend on buffering semantics that are not present in the source range. Likewise, the meaning of the zero status assigned during bounded reference-data loading is unresolved. These are not confirmed defects, but they are material uncertainties in operational behavior. E0012
Harten documentation of the Informix 4GL and Java source repository, from the retained 17 October 2026 export. The exact upstream revision analysed is not established. Source findings do not establish runtime behaviour or equivalence between the implementations.
Evidence identifiers are retained for traceability. The underlying analysis records are not included in this public edition; credential values are redacted. About this case study.
