Capability: Order browsing and privileged totals
menu1.4gl.main opens two bordered 12-by-63 windows and selects p_ordcur for privileged users or ordcur for other users. Privileged order browsing displays the aggregated t_price value alongside order fields; nonprivileged browsing displays order fields without that total. The privilege prompt sets priv to 1 only for y or Y; other responses leave it at zero. E0009
The order cursor has inconsistent boundary-fetch targets. Ordinary Next and Previous fetches reportedly include p_orders.* and t_price, whereas the recovery fetches used after reaching a boundary use only p_orders.*. Privileged display subsequently includes t_price. The omitted target may leave the total at an earlier value, null value, or other runtime-dependent value for the boundary row. E0010
The same browsing code uses both DISPLAY BY NAME p_orders.* and DISPLAY p_orders.* in nonprivileged paths. The inconsistency is established, but the supplied evidence does not show whether the 4GL runtime treats the forms equivalently in this context. E0010
Harten documentation of the Informix 4GL and Java source repository, from the retained 17 October 2026 export. The exact upstream revision analysed is not established. Source findings do not establish runtime behaviour or equivalence between the implementations.
